How to Light Your Pilot Light

To learn how to light your pilot light, watch this video while following these step-by-step instructions.

Important Notice - At any time, if you do not feel secure with any steps, please contact us for further assistance.

Step 1
Turn off all electrical power to the fireplace. Open the control access panel, and push in control knob slightly and turn to "OFF" position.

Step 2
Remove the front glass. Firmly hold and pull the bottom outwards slightly, then lift up. Place glass in a safe area and wait 15 minutes to clear out any residual gas before lighting pilot.

Step 3
If you are not certain where your pilot lights, removing your logs is an option—but not mandatory—when lighting the pilot.

Step 4
Turn the control knob to the "Pilot" position.

Step 5
Push in and hold the control knob. If no gas is flowing into the unit, check the gas supply to ensure proper connection. After pressing in and while holding control knob, begin to continuously press the igniter until the pilot lights.

Step 6
Allow the generator to heat up by holding in the control knob for at least 1 minute.

Important Notice - If the pilot does not light, repeat steps 4-7 once. If the pilot still does not light, contact us for further assistance.

Step 7
Once the pilot lights and stays lit, turn the control knob to the "ON" position.

Important Notice - If you did remove the logs prior to lighting the pilot, please turn unit off before placing logs into the fireplace.
